Contractor details
In Accounts and owners, open Payees and contractors. Mark contractors and copy their tax type, tax ID and address from their W-9. A tax ID needs nine digits.
Where tax IDs appear
Full tax IDs stay inside the encrypted company file. The app displays the last four digits. The full number appears on the CPA’s 1099 list and in unencrypted exports that include this data.
The Contractors (1099) report helps you and your CPA review payments and missing details. It is a preparation record, not a filed tax form.
