How it works

Instead of asking about lines one at a time, Nani groups unclear transactions by merchant and direction, and asks one question per group: "3 payments to CRAFTSMAN HARDWARE totaling $412.18. What are they for?" One answer books the whole group.

Answering

  • If Nani has a guess, Yes, that's right takes it.
  • Or pick one of the common choices, or Something else… for any category.
  • Money out that's personal goes to the owner's draws (Personal). Money in that's the owner's own money goes to their contributions (Owner put money in).
  • Add who it was paid to if you like.
  • Remember for next time (on by default) makes a rule, so the same merchant is booked automatically from then on, even when the store number in the description changes.
  • Show transactions lists the lines in the group.
